摘要
学界长期忽视毛泽东对英国文学批评家威廉斯的影响。《马克思主义与文学》中“commitment”被译为“党性”,指威廉斯文学文化研究中以工人阶级为主体、批判资本主义社会的立场取向。本文以威廉斯对《毛泽东论文艺》的引证为据,在厘清中英文语境中“党性”与“commitment”之区别和联系的基础上,阐释其对毛泽东的“人民性”文艺思想的借鉴和化用。威廉斯从“党性”(commitment)文学立场出发,论证文学服务政治的历史合理性、“党性”与审美的辩证统一关系,构建“党性”文学生产模式和实践路径。从作为例证,到作为理论、作为方法,威廉斯递进式的征引、移植和化用,虽则不乏他者镜像化的理论错位和实践脱节,但证明了中西文化交流激发思想创新的可能。文章从威廉斯的背景经历、面临的时代问题和学术旨趣等分析其理论构建中毛泽东元素的成因,旨在唤起学界更多的关注。
Mao Tse-tung's impact on Raymond Williams'theoretical framework is examined in this study.The term“Commitment”translated as“Dang xing”(“党性”)leads to misunderstandings due to culural dfference.Using Raymond Williams work Marxism and Litrature alongside Mao Tse-tung's literary work Mao Tse tung on Literature and Art as a resource,the study explores their influence on commiment's function.definition,and implementation in writing.The paper analyzes how Williamns connected commitment with aestheics restructuring Marxist commitment within Westem modemist aesthetis and creating a production mode suted for Westem capitalit sociely.The study also delves into Williams'recepion of Mao's ideas,drawing insighs from his family background,interest in mass culure,and research pusuis.The paper emphasizes the need for further exploration of Mao's influence on Williams'research and theoretical development.
