On Radical Left Thoughts on Good Life and Ethics of Literature and Art

在激进左翼看来,良善生活是基于自主个体的完整性而建构的一种本真的、自反的伦理生活,它强调个体美德与社会正义的互依关系。因为这种伦理生活关系着个体的全面发展,也涉及人类的整体进步,所以激进左翼倡导不同学科共同参与良善生活建构。只不过,每个理论家各自侧重点不同,有的理论家强调文艺的伦理责任,有的理论家注重政治伦理学的建构功能,但是他们都把个体自由和人类解放视作终极关怀,都把多元正义良善生活视作他们共同建构的目标。这种伦理生活能够达成自主个体的多重需求,能够满足不同文化群体的特殊要求,它需要不同学科共同参与,而文艺在其中扮演着不可或缺的角色,它们共同促进良善生活走向更高阶段。

In the view of the radical left,good life is an authentic,reflexive ethical life based on the integrity of autonomous individuals,which emphasizes the interdependence between individual virtues and social justices.Since ethical life is related to the integrated development of individuals and also to the all-round improvement of human beings,the radical left advocates different disciplines to participate in the construction of good life.However,theorists have different emphases.Some theorists emphasize the ethical responsibilities of literature and art,while other theorists focusing on the constructive function of political ethics.But they all regard individual liberty and human emancipation as their ultimate concern,and think good life with plural justice as their common construction goal.Ethical life in this sense can reach the multiple needs of autonomous individuals and meet the special requirements of different cultural groups.It needs different disciplines to participate together.Literature and art also should play an indispensable role in this process.Jointly they will promote good life to develop into a higher stage.
