新中国成立以来,中国共产党对中国发展阶段和目标进行了不懈探索。新中国成立之初,人口多、底子薄、国内外环境复杂是基本国情。毛泽东对中国社会发展阶段和目标进行了艰辛探索,形成了初步成果。改革开放后,中国共产党提出了社会主义初级阶段并提出了“三步走”的发展战略,随着中国社会经济持续发展,中国共产党不断深化“三步走”发展战略,发展目标也从经济发展扩展至全方位发展。经过新中国多年的砥砺奋进,我们在一穷二白的国情基础上成长为世界第二大经济体,积累了社会主义革命、建设和改革的丰富实践和理论经验,对中国特色社会主义发展目标和阶段的认识更为科学和成熟。

Since the founding of New China,the CPC has made unremitting efforts to explore the stages and goals of China’s development.When the PRC was founded,its basic national conditions were a large population,a weak economic foundation and a complex domestic and international environment.Mao Ze-dong conducted a painstaking exploration of the stages and goals of China’s social development and worked out the initial results.After the reform and opening up,the CPC proposed the primary stage of socialism and the three-step development strategy.As China’s social and economic development continued,the CPC continually deepened its three-step development strategy and its development goals expanded from economic development to all-round development.After years of hard work and progress,New China has grown from a poor country into the second largest economy in the world,accumulated rich practical and theoretical experience in socialist construction and reform,and gained a more scientific and mature understanding of the goals and stages of socialist development with Chinese characteristics.
