Preserving and Consolidating Cultural Leadership is an Important Task for Marxist Parties

新时代党的文化领导权主要面临文化虚无主义的挑战,反对文化虚无主义更要牢牢掌握文化领导权。文化领导权建设事关新时代中国特色社会主义文化建设和“文化现代化”的实现,在中国社会主义现代化建设进程中具有重要的战略地位和作用。历史上看,无产阶级执政党建设的一项重要工作就是争夺和巩固文化领导权,在这一过程中也形成了关于文化领导权的理论,这为我们有效应对文化虚无主义的挑战提供了参考。当前,我们应始终坚持党对文化的全面领导,以人民为中心,坚持党性与人民性相统一原则,用马克思主义筑起思想保障,更好抵御文化虚无主义侵蚀,不断巩固和提升党的文化领导权。

The cultural leadership of the CPC in the new era faces the challenge of cultural nihilism,and combating cultural nihilism requires the mastery of cultural leadership.Related to the construction of socialist culture with Chinese characteristics in the new era and the realization of“cultural modernization”,the construction of cultural leadership plays an important strategic role in the process of Chinese socialist modernization.Historically,an important task of party construction for a proletarian ruling party has been to fight for and consolidate cultural leadership.In the process,the theory of cultural leadership has also been formed,which provides us with a reference for effectively dealing with the challenge of cultural nihilism.At present,we should always adhere to the CPC’s overall leadership over culture,take the people as the centre,adhere to the unity between the Party and the people,seek ideological security with Marxism,better resist the erosion of cultural nihilism,and continually consolidate and enhance the Party’s cultural leadership.
