Today’s world is in a great change that has not happened in a century.In the face of profound adjustments in the international political and economic landscape,President Xi Jin-ping pointed out that China should speed up theconstruction of a new development pattern in which the domestic cycle plays a leading role and the domestic and international cycles promoteeach other.Building a new development pattern by China,the second largest economy in the world,is both historically inevitable and objectivelyrealistic,as China’s future development cannot be separated from the world and the world needs a better China.With the expansion of domesticdemand as the strategic basis,the new development pattern in which the internal cycle leads the external cycle and the latter promotes theformer,not only opens up new space for China’s economic development,but also has great significance for stabilising world economic growth,promoting globalisation and maintaining world peace and development.
