在弹词发展史上,《天雨花》是一部较为特殊的作品。它的主人公左维明虽然是男权的象征,但也讲述了左仪贞、黄静英等女性追求独立人格、追求个性解放、追求婚姻自由的故事,给予了女性较大的关注,体现出强烈的女性意识。而这些女性意识的觉醒又是建立在众多女性悲剧的基础上的,她们有的是身份低微、任人践踏的婢女、贫女、妻妾、宫娥、妓女,有的是紧锁深闺、毫无人生自由和婚姻自由、受尽男权压迫的贵族女子。她们甚至相互残害,构成了一个个充满悲剧的故事。作者为喊出她们的伤痛,精心构思,连女性姓名也别出心裁,她试图告诉读者,女性意识的觉醒之路是漫长的,是充满了流血和牺牲的悲剧。

In the development history of Chinese rap,The Raining Flower is a special work.Al though the leading character Zuo Weiming is the symbol of male power,it also tells the story of females like Zuo Yizhen,Huang Jingying and others who is in pursuit of independent personality,individual liberation and marriage freedom,which gives women greater attention and reflects strong female consciousness.However,the awakening of these women’s consciousness is built on the basis of numerous female tragedies.Some of them are maidservants,poor women,concubines,maid in an imperial palace and prostitutes with low-status and being trampled,some are noble women who have no freedom in life and marriage and are subject to male oppression.They even hurt each other,forming a tragic story.In order to shout out their pain,the author carefully designs,even create unique female names.She tries to tell the readers that the awakening of female consciousness is tragedy with a long way to go and full of bloodshed and sacrifice.
