摘要
郑玄"礼者,体也,履也"一语,成为历代以来标准的"礼"字训诂,特别是其中的"礼者体也"一训,更为后世所广泛采用。但究竟该如何理解"体"字?笔者考察了"礼""体""身""血"等字的训诂,指出"体"本有二义,一指身体之肢体,一指这些肢体所组合之总体,三《礼》中与礼相关的体,皆应从这二义的相互关系中来理解。
In Chinese nomology,Zheng Xuan’s definition of li(nomos) with ti(corpus)and lv(praxis) is the standard definition,especially with ti.But what is the exact significance of ti?After examining the philological meanings of li,ti,shen(body) and xue(blood),I argue that ti means both the entity and a part of a body,and Zheng Xuan’s understanding of li should be an dialectical interplay of these two meanings.
