霞浦林瞪公崇拜复论

Reexamination of Worship of Lord Lindeng in Xiapu of Fujian

"济南法主"林瞪是霞浦摩尼教中承上启下的大人物,备受推崇。但对其是否为当地摩尼教教主,存在不同观点。其实,不管是霞浦、屏南、福清等地发现的摩尼教文献还是福州、霞浦、晋江、屏南等地发现的摩尼教造像,都表现出林瞪崇拜,至于林瞪崇拜形成的时间,史无所载,不可确考,推而论之,应在林瞪去世以后,下限则不晚于明初,应有一个层累过程。

Arguing against those who disapprovingly hold that Lindeng,a“Master of Manichean Law from Ji’nan”,had played a crucial transitional role in the development of Manichaeism,the present paper demonstrates that,in places such as Xiapu,there was indeed the worship of Lord Lindeng,which has been corroborated by textual and archaeological evidences.Where the time of emergence of this worship,an incremental reconstruction of popular Manichean belief,was concerned,it should be no later than early Ming.
