There were many shu along the Yellow River,Jishui&Huaishui region during the Song&Qi Dynasties.These places were widely distributed between the North and South of this region,especially close to the battleground.As the border defense system,shu defended the Southern Dynasties with local-stationed soldiers.By analyzing the distribution of shu,this article describes the overall defense system in this region.The shu in this area played a significant role in many critical battles.
