基于家庭内部视角下父母对子女代际财富转移动机的分析

Analysis of Parents’ Motivation for Intergenerational Wealth Transfer Based on Family Internal Perspective

本文使用中国健康与养老调查(CHARLS)2011年大额代际赠予数据,分析基于家庭内部视角下父母对子女的代际财富转移动机。本文创新地使用了子女的相对收入水平这一指标,并分别用Probit和Tobit回归法对全样本、男性和女性样本以及必需赠予和非必需赠予样本进行实证检验。研究结果发现父母对子女的代际财富转移动机是出于利他动机,父母在家庭内部扮演着公平调节器的作用。在利他动机下,私人的财富转移会抵消政府公共转移支付调节收入分配的效应。因此,本文结论对我国未来收入分配政策制定有一定的参考意义。

This paper uses the large intergenerational gift data of China Health and Pension Survey 2011 to study the intergenerational wealth transfer motivation of parents to their children based on family internal perspective.This paper innovatively uses the relative income level of children as an indicator,and uses Probit and Tobit regression methods to test the whole sample,male and female sample,and essential and non-essential gift samples.The results show that the intergenerational wealth transfer motivation of parents to their children is altruistic motivation,and parents play a role of fairness regulator within the family.Under altruistic motivation,private wealth transfer will offset the effect of government public transfer payment on income distribution.Therefore,the conclusion of this paper has a certain reference significance for China’s future income distribution policy-making.
