As the first novel by Chinese-American female writer Wu Qishi,Everything I Never Told You tells the story of the difficult integration of a mixed-race family in American society.Using the deconstructive criticism method,This paper analyzes subversion and reconstruction of the traditional marriage ethics and parent-child ethics,as well as the"American Dream"that is actually subverted in the novel,so as to get a new understanding of the text.
