Some Materials about Li Zhengdao and Yang Zhenning Winning the Nobel Prize

本刊2020年第1期发表了《李政道杨振宁遭遇冷处理——六十多年前中国人第一次获诺奖》(华新民、王作跃),最近收到杨振宁先生来信,对文中个别表述及标题提出意见,并提供了当年中国物理学家的祝贺电文(及他的回复),以及何祚庥先生的一封表达相关意见的信。征得杨、何两位先生同意,本刊将上述材料公布于众,以期读者对当年国内关于杨、李获奖的态度有一个全面客观的认识。

After the publication of Li Zhengdao and Yang Zhenning Were Given the Cold Shoulder——The Chinese Won the Nobel Prize for the First Time More than 60 Years Ago,written by Hua Xinmin and Wang Zuoyue,in the first issue of this year in Science&Culture Review,we recently received a letter from Mr.Yang Zhenning,offering comments on individual statements and the title of this article,along with a congratulatory telegram from that year from Chinese physicists(and his reply).He also offered a letter from Mr.He Zuoxiu expressing his views.With the consent of Mr.Yang and Mr.He,the journal now publishes the above materials,with a view to give readers a comprehensive and objective understanding of the domestic attitudes toward Yang and Li’s award in that year.
