How to reasonably evaluate the development and selection of theories is a fundamental question,which has become increasingly vital with the rapid changes in contemporary scientific theories.Lakatos’Methodology of Scientific Research Programmes offers a unique interpretation of theory development,with its influence extending from philosophy to more diverse fields such as economics.Kuipers,recognizing the fundamental ideas of Scientific Research Programmes,has adapted Lakatos’theories based on the characteristics of contemporary scientific trans⁃formation.He introduces new concepts such as“semi-hard cores”,“idealizations and conceptualizations”and“external success”,thus constructing the notion of a“semi-hard core research program.”This framework pro⁃vides guidance for exploring interdisciplinary research programs in the contemporary context.
