摘要
海曼·巴斯曾担任美国数学会主席、国际数学教育委员会主席,在数学研究、数学教育和数学共同体建设方面均做出了创造性的贡献,研究他的数学教育思想对当前数学与数学英才教育具有重要意义。研究结果表明:他认为数学是文化中立的赋能科学,指出优秀数学教学要同时关注数学知识和学生思维,呼吁数学家积极参与数学教育,主张数学家和数学教育者互惠合作,倡导数学英才教育。
Hyman Bass once served as the President of the American Mathematical Society and the President of the International Mathematical Education Commission.He has made creative contributions to mathematical research,mathematical education and the construction of mathematical communities.Studying his mathematical education ideas is of great significance to the current education of mathematics and mathematical talents.The research results show that he believes that mathematics is a culture neutral enabling science,points out that excellent mathematics teaching should pay attention to mathematical knowledge and students’thinking at the same time,calls on mathematicians to actively participate in mathematics education,advocates mutual cooperation between mathematicians and mathematics educators,and advocates education of mathematical talents.
