Kiran Desai’s The Inheritance of Loss was described as"a globalized novel for a globalized world".It shows how some negative emotions such as anger,fear,shame,loneliness,etc.are generated and circulated in transcultural context and unequal power relations.This essay attempts to combine the affective political theory and corpus data to collect the emotional tendency of the protagonists;analyze the causes of these emotions and explore how to reduce the circulation of these negative emotions.
