A Critique of the Will to Power

作为一种更为本质的力,强力意志与物理学、生物学和自然哲学密切相关。尼采在此基础上试图在生命领域科学地构想强力意志的运作。本文试图论证在人类行动层面上的强力意志概念需要并且可以摆脱生物主义,从而与当代观念达成一致,即认为人类的生物禀赋,本质上只有通过社会形式的调节才能转化为能动力。一旦这一观点成立,强力意志理论便可以为人类能动性社会学理论的进一步发展做出重要的贡献。

As a more essential force,will to power is closely related to physics,biology and natural philosophy.On this basis,Nietzsche tried to scientifically conceived the operations of will to power within the realm of life.The author argues in this essay that the notion of will to power at the level of human action needs to be,and can be,stripped of biologism and aligned with the contemporary sense that human biological endowment is transformed into agency essentially and only through the mediation of social forms.Once the theory of will to power is revised in this way,it can make a valuable contribution to the further development of the sociological theory of human agency.
