成人—儿童关系视阈下的儿童文学翻译研究:回顾与展望

Research on Translation of Children's Literature through the Lens of Adult-Child Relations:Review and Prospect

通过回顾围绕成人―儿童关系展开的儿童文学翻译研究,本文对过往文献采用的两种解读路径和童书译学因此展现出的不同面向进行梳理与剖析。笔者发现,现有研究对成人和儿童的绝对划分导致成人译者视角的缺失。为此,笔者提出,应正视成人译者在儿童文学翻译活动中的主体地位和个人能动性,重视成人与儿童的天然联系,考察成人译者儿童性与翻译实践之间的相互作用。同时,应注重对中国儿童文学译者群体的研究,既可在成人―儿童关系视阈下不断扩展儿童文学翻译研究,又可为全球译学贡献中国特色童书翻译思想。

This article reviews research papers on translation of children’s literature,focusing on discussions that evolved from the adult-child relations.By analyzing the two interpretational approaches used in the past literature,and exploring the different aspects of children’s literature in translation,the author finds that the over-emphasis on the difference between adults and children leads to inadequate attention on adult translators.Therefore,the author suggests that we underline the primary role and initiative adult translators take in translating children’s literature,look into the natural bond between adults and children,and examine the interaction between adult translators’childness and their translation practices.Moreover,we shall pay close attention to the large group of translators participating in the translation of children’s books in China,thus to expand the study of children’s literature translation through the lens of adult-child relations,as well as contribute Chinese thoughts and philosophies to translation studies as a whole.
