On Revolutionary Pioneers in the History of Red Translation from 1902 to 1945

本文所记述的革命先驱指红色翻译史上的捐躯者、负伤者与被囚者,从1902年至1930年,有21人因为翻译传播马克思著作及其革命事业被囚,10人被害。抗战时期,有大量译员在国内外战场牺牲、受伤、被害。对这些译者的研究有助于我们更全面更深刻地了解翻译在中国革命事业中发挥了怎样的作用并培养庄严的使命感。

In this article by revolutionary pioneers in the history of red translation is meant the translators arrested,wounded or killed for Chinese revolutionary cause from 1902 to 1945.From 1902 to1930,21 translators were arrested and 10 murdered partially because of translating and disseminating works of Maxism or related new thoughts.During the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression(1931-1945),a lot of translators were wounded or died in battlefields both at home and abroad.The study of these translators will help us understand in depth the role of translators for the Chinese revolutionary cause and cultivate a dignified sense of mission of a translator.
