儿童文学批评理论文献在中国的翻译现状——以《世界儿童文学百科全书》为例

A Tentative Research on the Translation of Children’s Literature Criticism in China——A Case Study of International Companion Encyclopedia of Children’s Literature

中国的世界儿童文学理论文献的翻译起步较晚,数量也不多。真正有价值的儿童文学批评文献并没有得到翻译,所以研究者难以对儿童文学批评史的全貌加以呈现、认识和理解。如经典权威之作《世界儿童文学百科全书》的翻译就是空缺的。鉴于此,中国学界可在相关领域做进一步研究,加强中国学界对于儿童文学理论文献的翻译,引进更多世界优秀儿童文学研究成果。本文以《世界儿童文学百科全书》为例,阐释其学术价值和现实意义,并在内容汇总的基础上,提出翻译思路和翻译策略,如多语种集群合作的翻译方式,逐步修改而臻于准确的翻译过程,强调翻译中遵循源语文本的原则,以及确保翻译的准确性和严谨性等。在新时代,系统借鉴外国儿童文学理论与实践,建构中国自己的儿童文学理论并指导中国儿童文学写作实践,是当下一项重要而迫切的任务。

It was not until the beginning of the 21 st century did China witness the rare amount of translated works of children’s literature criticism.However,the most influential and critical works of international children’s literature,such as International Companion Encyclopedia of Children’s Literature,have not been translated into Chinese yet.This hinders Chinese researchers from comprehending fully the history of world children’s literary criticism in a broader sense.More translated works in this field will benefit both scholars and writers of children’s literature at large,enhancing relevant researches and suggesting new approaches to assess the aesthetics and values of children’s literature.This paper takes International Companion Encyclopedia of Children’s Literature as an example to elaborate on such tentative translation strategies,as multilingual-cooperative translation and dynamic adjustments for accuracy and correctness.Learning from other countries in theories and practices of children’s literature will help us construct our own critical theories of children’s literature and promote the writing of children’s literature as well.
