国内社会翻译学研究现状述评

Critical Review of Socio-Translation Studies in China

本文旨在对过去10年国内的社会翻译学研究现状进行述评,兼评国内出版的第一本专题论文集。国内社会翻译学研究的起步比西方晚了约10年,虽然取得了令人欢欣鼓舞的成绩,但有待改进、提升和拓展的空间很大,突出表现在应用的社会学理论较单一、理论及方法论更新不够及时;有的译介或综述文章不够全面、准确、深入,容易误导参引者;总体上尚处于积极引介国外成果为主、创造性应用西方理论为次的阶段,尤其原创性、实证性研究和结合中国翻译实践的理论建构亟待加强。

This paper presents a critical review of the status quo of socio-translation studies in China together with a brief review of the first edited volume ever published in this country.It is pointed out that while encouraging research output has been achieved in the recent decade there is still vast room for further improvement and greater e orts yet to be made.is is most clearly manifested in the following problems and de ciencies hindering the development of the subdiscipline in China:using only one or two o en-quoted sociological theories and responding rather slowly to the quickly updated theory and methodology;some of the published introductory or review articles written in Chinese are far from accurate or exhaustive,to the point that they could mislead Chinese authors who quote them indirectly;the nascent field is still largely underdeveloped with most of the publications focused on introducing Western theories and published research while more original,empirical research and the construction of novel theories that can describe and explain Chinese translation practices are yet to be done.
