The popular science education base in colleges and universities is the main position of science popularization work,an important part of the popular science education system,and an important medium to improve the scientific quality and innovation ability of teenagers.Taking the popular science education base of Shanghai University of Engineering Science as an example,this paper expounds the popular science education function,social benefit function and platform service function of the popular science education base,and points out its the communication function.The paper discusses in detail the ways and methods of the popular science education base to cultivate the innovative ability of teenagers.It indicates that strengthening the construction of the popular science education base of colleges and universities is helpful to promote the innovation ability of teenagers.
