"If the youth is strong,the country is strong".Young students shoulder the great responsibility for the future of the nation.Their growth and development are not only related to social harmony and stability,but also closely related to the fate of the motherland.The development of young students is inseparable from the education of ideals and beliefs in colleges and universities.At present,China is in the stage of achieving the second centenary goal.Young students must guard against arrogance and impetuosity,work hard,consciously link personal development with the future and destiny of the motherland,and contribute their youth to the era on the new journey.How to strengthen the education of college students'ideals and beliefs and effectively improve the effectiveness of education is an important issue faced by ideological and political educators in colleges and universities.This article will start with the concept,characteristics and cultivation methods of Mencius's"big husband"personality,and discuss in detail the current situation and improvement methods of the ideal and faith education of local secondary college students,with a view to promoting the comprehensive development of college students.
