语言库藏类型学在“英语语法”课程教学中的应用

Application of Linguistic Inventory Typology to the Course of English Grammar

文章提出为英语专业本科生教授的“英语语法”课程内容应吸收语言库藏类型学的相关研究成果,并利用三个案例说明,让学生对英汉语的语法库藏有基本了解是掌握英语描写语法的必要准备。在课程中了解汉语语法显赫范畴的特征有助于学生更好地理解英语语法,也可增加学生的母语语言文化意识。

This paper proposes that the course of English Grammar taught to undergraduate English-major students should take into account relevant research outcomes in Linguistic Inventory Typology. This paper shows in three specific cases that it is necessary for students to have a basic understanding of grammatical inventories in English and Chinese languages before studying a descriptive grammar of English. Students will understand English grammar better and become more aware of the Chinese language and its culture by virtue of studying mighty categories of Chinese grammar in the course.
