人民币国际化:过去与未来

Internationalization of the RMB:Past and Future

我国推动人民币国际化以来取得了较快进展,但依然任重道远。特别是在当下中美关系面临严峻挑战的环境下,地缘政治越来越成为塑造国际金融货币体系的重要因素,地缘政治的新变化为人民币在国际舞台上发挥更大作用提供了机会。我们要充分认识到人民币国际化的重要意义以及取得的成绩,但同时也要意识到人民币国际化不是终极目标,是服务于国家金融安全和提高跨境资源配置效率的工具。在当前的地缘政治条件下,中国的当务之急是尽快“构建以国内大循环为主体、国内国际双循环相互促进”的新发展格局。在推进人民币国际化的过程中必须权衡利弊,谋定而后动。

Since the PBoC launched the internationalization of the RMB in 2009,it has made relatively fast progress,but still has a long way to go.Especially in the current environment where China and the U.S.are encountering serious challenges,geopolitics is becoming an increasingly important factor in shaping the international financial and monetary system,and the new changes in geopolitics provide an opportunity for the RMB to play a greater role in the international arena.We should fully recognize the significance of RMB internationalization and its achievements,but at the same time,we should also realize that RMB internationalization is not the ultimate goal,but only a tool to serve national financial security and improve the efficiency of cross-border resource allocation.Under the current geopolitical conditions,China’s top priority is to realize as soon as possible the transformation of the development dynamic of“dual circulations”.In the process of promoting the internationalization of the RMB,it is necessary to weigh the pros and cons carefully before making a move.
