This area used to be the fishing corridor of The First Aquatic product wholesale Market in Shanghai, with a width of about 12 m and a length of 110 m.The ground is wooden raised platform. The aquatic products wholesale market can be traced back to the Chinese Marine fishery Market established in 1945,which has been transformed into a public space and supporting services. On the south side of the gallery space, the original flood control wall and 6 gates are maintained, through which they can be connected with the outer wharf. The ground load should not be greater than 0.5 t/m2.It is suggested that the setting of artworks should be considered in combination with the above factors, while taking into account the operational requirements of the building itself.
