摘要
结合加州大学伯克利分校下斯普洛尔广场更新项目和学生社区中心案例,分享了该项目在规划设计阶段的经验和方法,包括对其历史文化背景的理解,对场地建筑群、公共空间及其与所在校园、周边社区之间联系的重新思考,使用人群特征和需求的研究,校园内外空间的重新整合,为不同人群创造更多互动协作机遇,同时与各利益相关方紧密协作,以期打造充满活力的"校园客厅"和城市更新典范。
This article introduces the Lower Sproul Redevelopment and Student Community Center,University of California Berkeley,sharing the experiences during the planning and design,including the cultural understanding about the site history,rethinking an entire complex of buildings and public space and its connection to the campus and surrounding community,studying the user demographics and needs,creating a campus community to provide interaction and collaboration opportunities for the variety of users,as well as collaborating with all stakeholders,to jointly deliver a vibrant"Campus Living Room"and an exemplary urban regeneration project.
