《西游记》建构了一个包含天上、地上、地下的纵横向交叉的立体空间体系,它承载了中国早期文化传统中的原发性空间观念,并通过神话想象的方式表达出来;但该空间观又超越了早期空间方位辨识以及地理位置确立等层面,而上升到对空间与权力秩序之间隐秘关联的探寻,表现为对纵向空间价值差序的凸显。该空间价值差序背后隐藏了一个时间性根因,此即生命的有限性与宇宙的无限性之间的尖锐冲突。

Journey to the West constructs a vertical and horizontal three-dimensional space system including sky,ground and underground.It carries the primary space concept in the early Chinese cultural tradition and expresses it through the way of mythological imagination.However,the space view goes beyond such aspects as the early space orientation identification,the geographical location establishment,etc.,and rises to the exploration of the hidden relationship between space and the power order,which is manifested by highlighting the verticalspatial value disparity.There is a temporal root behind this spatial value disparity,which is the sharp conflict between the mortal nature of life and the infinity of the universe.
