侠性与佛性——从林澹然形象看《禅真逸史》对鲁智深形象的借鉴与超越

The Chivalrous and Buddhist Nature in the Image of Lin Danran in The Rumored Anecdotes of Chan Zhen: his Reference and Transcendence of Lu Zhishen

林澹然作为一个侠僧,既有英雄人物豪放侠义的特点,又彰显出佛性天然的气质。这与鲁智深侠僧的形象一脉相承。《禅真逸史》在塑造林澹然形象时借鉴了鲁智深的佛性与侠性的特质,同时又超越其鲁莽而归于慈悲。林澹然形象在晚明新变,究其原因在于政治松动导致佛教信仰下移,同时又与市民文化的发展紧密相关。

As a chivalrous monk,Lin Danran not only has the characteristics of a hero’s boldness and chivalry,but also shows the natural characteristics of Buddha nature.This is in line with Lu Zhishen’s image as a chivalrous monk.In shaping Lin Danran’s image,The Rumored Anecdotes of Chan Zhen borrows from Lu Zhishen’s Buddhist nature and chivalrous character,and at the same time surpasses his recklessness and tends to compassion.The reason why Lin Danran’s image changed in the late Ming Dynasty is the downward shift of Buddhist beliefs led by political loosening.At the same time,it is closely related to the development of civic culture.
