Nursing amid rapid operation of intensive care units in a COVID-19 specialized hospital

目的阶段性总结武汉火神山医院重症监护病区应对新型冠状病毒肺炎(COVID-19)的护理应急管理工作,以期为未来应对重大疫情时重症监护病房的快速组建与运行提供经验与依据。方法从加强环境和资源保障工作、优化护理人力资源管理、完善规范与流程、强化教育培训与监督4方面出发,促进一线重症护理工作有序开展。结果火神山医院重症监护病区运转快速、高效,各项诊疗、抢救、转运等工作顺利开展。组建一月余,无一例护理人员感染;30%的重症患者已按流程转入普通病房继续康复治疗。结论科学、高效的护理组织应急管理提高了护理人员对COVID-19疫情应对能力的同时,也为应急救援任务的顺利完成提供了重要保障。

Objective To summarize the experience of nursing emergency management during rapid operation of intensive care units in Huoshenshan Hospital,and to provide reference for the smooth formation and operation of makeshift ICUs during a pandemic. Methods Strengthening environmental and resource security,optimizing nursing human resource management,improving standards and procedures,and enhancing supervision and education were emphasized to promote the orderly operation of the frontline critical care. Results The ICUs of Huoshenshan Hospital operated rapidly and efficiently,while diagnosis,treatment,rescue and transportation went smoothly. After more than one month of operation,none of the nurses were infected. 30% of the severe patients were transferred to general wards according to the procedure to continue rehabilitative treatment. Conclusion Scientific nursing emergency management can improve the ability of ICU nurses to cope with coronavirus pneumonia,and provide important support for the successful completion of the emergency rescue task.
