摘要
自从1969年McCord和Fridovich发现超氧化物歧化酶(Superoxide Dismutase-简称SOD)以来,一直受到各国科学工作者的广泛重视。人们利用它来研究自由基理论、生物学作用、辐射防护效应以及它和许多疾病的关系。
Bovine erythrocyte superoxide dismutase had been purified by a practical procedure.The purified superoxide dismutase was proved to be pure and homogeneous ascertained by some physico-chemical properties of this enzyme,such as absorbance of visible and ultraviolet spectra,molecular weight determined by sedimentation velocity method,electron spin resonance spectra,copper and zinc content and electrophoretic pattern in polyacrylamide gel.Some enzyme preparations displayed absorbance maximum at 258nm,but some others at 265 nm.In either case the enzyme activity was not effected.In the amino acid composition,a slight difference exists between the bovine erythrocyte superoxide dismutase from chinese cattles and those from ioreigh species.
