In this article,we propose to carry out a study on some aspects related to the entry and development of the Spanish flu in Argentina between 1918 and 1919.In this sense,an epidemiological analysis will be carried out based on the mortality caused by the disease in throughout the country,to then describe and analyze the institutions and measures taken by government authorities.Later,we will analyze the medical uncertainties and the development of a vaccine in the general context of the scientific development of the time.Finally,we will analyze the impact of the disease on the economy and work.The study was carried out from publications of the National Department of Hygiene,newspapers and government archives.
