The Role Transformation of Women in Modern Terrorist Activities

当代恐怖主义活动中,女性早期主要作为辅助参与者,承担后勤保障、情报工作、成员招募等任务。但随着恐怖主义的发展,女性突破了“温柔非暴力”的性别印象,作为“独狼式”袭击的执行者和“家庭式”袭击的组织者直接参与恐怖主义活动。女性在当代恐怖主义活动中的角色转换,会带来恐怖袭击威胁加剧、恐怖组织宣传号召力增强、恐怖活动政治煽动效应放大等影响与挑战,国际社会可通过开展“反叙事”宣传、加强针对女性涉恐人员的情报工作、深化女性的反恐参与等措施予以应对。

In modern terrorist activities,women in the early stage mainly served as assistant participants to undertake tasks such as logistical support,intelligence work and member recruitment.However,with the development of terrorism,women broke through the gender impression of“gentleness and non-violence”,they directly participate in terrorist activities as executors of“lone wolf”terrorist attacks and organizers of“family”terrorist attacks.The role transformation of women in modern terrorist activities will bring about impacts and challenges such as the intensification of the threat of terrorist attacks,the enhancement of the propaganda and appeal of terrorist organizations,and the amplification of the political incitement effect.Some strategies such as carrying out counter-narrative publicity,strengthening intelligence work for female terrorists and deepening women’s anti-terrorism participation should be implemented.
