目的论指导下的太极拳术语的汉英翻译的实践

太极拳是中国传统和现代武术的杰出代表,然而太极拳汉英翻译存在译名不统一等问题,影响了太极拳的对外传播。本文拟在编撰国家社科基金项目"中国太极拳汉英翻译"词典的过程中,以目的论为指导,对于太极拳技击类术语采用以直译为主,音译和意译为辅的翻译方法;理法等富有中华传统特色术语,以音译为主,适当加上文化释义;以期以文化自觉和文化自信的责任心和态度,为中国太极拳、武术乃至中国文化走出去做出翻译学仁应有的贡献。

Taijiquan is an outstanding representative of Chinese traditional and modern martial arts.It embodies the concepts of"harmony between man and nature","the mean"and"harmony"formed in China for thousands of years.It has an important enlightenment and guiding role in solving various problems in the current world.However,there are some problems in the translation of Taijiquan,such as the inconsistency of the translated terms,which leads to the confusion of terms,the lack of cultural images or readability and operability.In the process of compiling the Chinese-English translation dictionary of Taijiquan,which is funded by the National Social Science Foundation,this paper takes German skopos theory as the guide,literal translation as the main translation method,transliteration and free translation as the second;other terms with Chinese traditional characteristics such as laws and theories are mainly transliterated,if needed with some cultural interpretations added;With a sense of cultural self-consciousness and cultural self-confidence,the paper hopes to make its contribution to translation of Taijiquan,wu shu and even Chinese culture going out.
