Road Transportation and National War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression——With Focus on Jiangnan Automobile Company and Southwest Transportation Department

公路交通在战时具有重大意义,在前线可输送军队、军器及军品,在后方亦可流通商品和疏散人口。鉴于此,以抗战时期我国公路交通的典型代表江南汽车公司和西南运输处为中心,通过其战争初期准备和车辆被调遣征用、进行抗战后方的公路运输、参与西南公路交通及运输国际物资等多向维度,展示公路交通在战时中国的关键地位和重要作用,由此突显交通事业对于国家抗战的强力支持及时代贡献。

In wartime,road traffic is of great importance,playing an indispensible role in transporting troops,weapons and military products in the front line,and circulating goods and evacuating people in the rear.This article takes Jiangnan Automobile Company and Southwest Transportation Office as examples,which were typical highway transportation enterprises in China during the War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression.By describing how it made initial preparations at the beginning of the war,how vehicles were deployed and dispatched,and what part it played in the Southwest road transportation and transport of international aid,etc.,the article illustrates the critical position and important role of the highway traffic in China in wartime,thus highlighting the strong support and great contributions of traffic in Chinese people’s War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression.
