摘要
本文以《劳动合同法》实施为契机,考察了劳动保护对企业创新的影响。研究发现:(1)劳动保护提高了劳动密集型企业的创新数量和创新质量;(2)劳动保护主要通过企业要素结构调整等途径提升创新效率;(3)劳动保护对国有企业、高市场化地区的企业和非政府扶持企业的创新影响更加明显。本文结果表明,《劳动合同法》尽管给企业带来了负面影响,但加速了企业转型,促进了企业创新升级,与我国的创新驱动发展战略不谋而合。
The study examines the impact of employment protection on innovation.We find that,(1)there is a significantly positive effect of employment protection on both quality and quantity of labor-intensive firm’s innovation;(2)employment protection mainly improves the innovation efficiency through adjusting the factor structure;(3)the labor contract law promotes innovation of firms which are SOEs,in the high marketization areas,and less government-favored.The results imply that although it has some negative effects on the firms,the labor contract law helps to upgrade the firms by promoting innovation.
