Research on the Influence of Artificial Intelligence Technology Application on Employment in Insurance Industry

人工智能是第四次技术革命的核心,在推动经济社会发展的同时也对劳动力市场造成了冲击,并不断向第三产业渗透。为了更好地应对这一变革,本文基于2011-2021年省级面板数据研究人工智能技术应用对保险行业就业人员数量的影响,同时考察了其对发达地区和欠发达地区影响的异质性。结果显示:整体上而言,目前人工智能技术应用对保险行业就业人数的影响更多地表现为创造效应,且发达地区的当期效应强于欠发达地区,而从滞后效应来看,欠发达地区则更为显著。因此,建议推动保险产业数字化、智能化转型高质量落地;统筹实施保险科技人才战略,促进就业结构不断升级;重视地区差异,引导区域间人工智能协调发展。

Artificial intelligence is the core of the fourth technological revolution,which not only promotes economic and social development,but also hits the labor market and penetrates into tertiary industry continuously.In order to cope with this change,based on the provincial panel data from 2011 to 2021,this paper studis the impact of the application of arti-ficial intelligence technology on the number of employees in the insurance industry,and investigated the heterogeneity of its impact on developed and underdeveloped regions.The result shows that,on the whole,the impact of the application of arti-ficial intelligence technology on the number of employees in the insurance industry is a creative effect,and its current effect in developed areas is more significant than that in underdeveloped areas,while its hysteresis effect is more significant in the latter.Therefore,it is suggested that digital and intelligent transformation of the insurance industry should be promoted with high-quality;The country should implement the strategy of insurance scientific and technological personnel in a well-coor-dinated way,upgrade the employment structure,and attach importance to the regional difference,guide the coordinated de-velopment of artificial intelligence in all regions.
