跨越世纪的译事对话——从罗选民《文学通诠》谈严复的翻译

A Cross-century Dialogue on Translation——Yan Fu's and Luo Xuanmin's Translation of Worsfold's Book on Literature

罗选民的新著《文学通诠》含倭斯弗原文、严复节译、罗选民全译及译者长序四个内容,为翻译研究提供了极好的跨世纪对话样本。本文从分析这一对话发生的历史场景着手,以“通诠”“美术”“达”/“达旨”为关键词,对处于两端之间的20世纪译论译事展开了论述。并以此为背景,对翻译中的“互文关系”展开了深一层的探讨。

Professor Luo's new book,consisting of four parts of Basil Worsfold'original,Yan Fu's adapted translation,his own full translation and his long introductory remarks,provides a good example for a trans-century study of translation between the two ends of the 20th century.Starting from analyzing the historical background of the two versions and focusing on the three terms of Tongquan/introduction,Meishu/fine arts,and Dazhi/meaning conveying,the present paper makes a comparative study with the span of the century.And on that basis,it explores further into the term of intertextuality in translation.
