摘要
"五四新文化运动"这一用法值得商榷,"五四运动"是1919年间的一场反帝爱国运动,"新文化运动"是1915年至1924年间的一场思想启蒙运动,从根本上而言,二者是两个不同性质的历史事件,不能统称为"五四新文化运动"。五四运动后马克思主义的传播以及陈独秀、李大钊等人成为早期马克思主义者,不是对新文化运动的否定或误读,而是进一步推动和深化。"救亡"和"启蒙"是近代中国民族民主革命的两个重要组成部分,始终相伴而行,它们之间不是谁压倒谁或谁取代谁,而是相互推动、彼此促进。
The usage of the"May-Fourth New Culture Movement"is debatable.The"May-Fourth Movement"was an anti-imperialist patriotic movement in 1919.The"New Culture M ovement"was an ideological enlightenment movement between 1915 and 1924.Fundamentally speaking,they are two historical events of different natures and cannot be collectively referred to as the"May-Fourth New Culture Movement".After the M ay Fourth Movement,the spread of M arxism and Chen Duxiu,Li Dazhao and others became early M arxists,which were not negated or misunderstood by the new cultural movement,but further promoted and deepened."Salvation"and"Enlightenment"are two important components of the modern Chinese national democratic revolution.They always develop together,and there is no one who overwhelm or replaces another,but improves and promotes each other.
