Old Wine in the New Bottle?——Overview of Researches on the Relationship Between the Pentecostal-Charismatic Movement and African Traditional Cultural

自五旬节-灵恩运动在南部非洲传播以来,与当地传统文化之间形成了多面向动态关系,分别为张力与隔绝、亲和与相似、双向塑造,传统文化影响南部非洲五旬节-灵恩群体的宗教实践、组织架构及神学思想,而该运动为传统文化带来了新的宗教格局、共同体、道德律令及流行文化,形成了具有非洲特色且适应当地社会需要的五旬节信仰。通过对已有研究成果的分类比较与厘清,一方面能有效展示该运动在非洲场域的扎根与演变;另一方面,也能解释该运动在南部非洲的迅速扩展,深化基督教在全球南方的传播研究。

Since the rise of Pentecostal-Charismatic Movement and spread across southern Africa,a dynamic relationship was formed between the movement and the African traditional culture,which is tension and isolation,affinity and similarity,and bidirectional molding.The traditional culture influences the religious practices,group structure and theology of the movement;and the movement provides a new religious pattern,new community,new moral rules and popular culture for the African traditional culture,the Pentecostal faith was formed,which has the African characteristics and adapted to the needs of local society.Through the classification and comparison of existing researches,on the one hand,it can effectively demonstrate the root and evolution of the movement in the African;on the other hand,it could also explain the rapid expansion of the movement in southern Africa,deepening the study of the spread of Christianity in the global South.
