Criteria for Judging Logo Design Based on Case Study

探析标志设计的评判标准,可丰富标志设计的实践与理论研究。按标志产生的时间顺序,选择几个不同时期在中国有影响力的标志设计作品,并搜集相关的文献作为支撑。从主次的有无、具象与抽象、现代与传统、语义的贴切这几个专业标准出发,进行分析比较研究,为标志设计实践提供理论性指导。本文认为,标志设计作品要根据功能来选择评判标准,对标志设计作品的评判有标准,但没有标准答案。

Study of the evaluation criteria of logo design can enrich the design practice and theoretical research.The paper selects several influential logo design works from different periods in China according to the time sequence and collects relevant literature for support.A comparative study is conducted from the professional standards of whether primary or secondary subject exists,whether it is representational or abstract,modern or traditional,and its semantic suitability.It aims to provide certain guidance to logo design in practice.It proposes that the design works should be judged according to the function.Criteria for the evaluation of design works can be set up but there shouldn’t be one universal standard.
