《老人与海》对于老人和自然、老人和社会、鲨鱼和大马林鱼、甚至小说细节与海明威自己的生活体验之间的种种矛盾所构成的矛盾束的展示,使得人类不能不为自己的未来担心,并寻求解决之道。作品为人类反思自身的所作所为,提供了一个可资借鉴的寓言式范本。大自然是人类赖以生存的不可或缺的外部环境,人与自然相互依存、相互影响、相互制约,既对立又统一。世间万物都有其自身的发展规律,人类应该尊重大自然的客观规律,合理开发自然资源。

The Old Man and the Sea reached its peak in describing Hemingway’s idea.And the various types of contradictions posed by the novel worries man to such an extent that man cannot help but fear for the future and try to find out a solution.In this sense,the novel provides an allegorical template for human beings to ponder and reflect upon their own actions and deeds:Nature is an indispensable external environment for humans to survive.Human and nature are interdependent,affecting and restricting each other.Everything in the world has its own laws of development,and human beings should fully respect the laws of nature and rationally develop natural resources.
