批评隐喻分析视角下的超学科隐喻翻译研究路径探索

Exploring a Transdisciplinary Approach to Metaphor Translation Studies from the Perspective of Critical Metaphor Analysis

通过梳理批评话语研究的理论和方法、概念整合理论与翻译过程研究融合的文献,引介批评话语研究的认知语言学方法中有关批评隐喻分析的论述,参考批评话语研究学者有关超学科性的定义,探讨了批评话语研究、概念整合理论与翻译过程研究三者超学科融合的可能,即批评隐喻分析视角下的隐喻翻译过程研究。该研究路径以促进参与超学科融合的各学科/分支的发展为指导原则,从概念整合和翻译作为社会实践两个视角就原文文本(如《政府工作报告》)中隐喻表征在译文文本中的表征情况进行考察,并在此基础上对译者主观能动作用背后的意识形态特征进行剖析。

By reviewing the studies attempting at an integration of translation process studies with theories and methods of critical discourse analysis/studies(CDS)on the one hand and conceptions from the conceptual blending theory(CBT)on the other hand,introducing critical metaphor analysis(CMA)under the cognitive linguistic approach to CDS,and resorting to the discussions on the conception and definition of transdisciplinarity by CDS scholars,this study explores the theoretical possibility of a tripartite integration of CDS and CBT into translation process studies as the CMA approach to the metaphor translation process studies.This approach theoretically,takes it as its guiding principle to facilitate the development of each of the disciplines or schools that participate in the transdisciplinary integration,and practically takes a close look at whether and how linguistic metaphors(from texts like Report on the Work of the Government)are represented in the translated text from the perspectives of conceptual blending and translation as a social practice and probes into the ideological characteristics lying behind the discursive choices that the translator actively and in all probability purposefully makes.
