“裘”字形源新證

A New Interpretation of “Qiu”(裘) in the Character Source

"裘"字形源研究的分歧和上古音研究的例外諧聲並非偶然現象,結合古音事實,有助於對形源的研究進行取捨。"裘"字甲骨文是象形字,金文演變爲形聲字,本從聲符"又","又"和"求"形體相混,從而被誤析爲從"求"得聲,即今"裘"字。同源字的繫聯亦可證"求"字本義爲多足蟲,與"裘"異字。

The divergence of the research of(裘) in the character source is closely related to the exceptional phenomenon of the phonetic symbol series in the study of old Chinese sounds.Combining the old Chinese sounds facts,we can make a choice between the research of "qiu"(裘) in the character source."qiu"(裘) is a pictograph in the oracle bone inscription,going to bronze inscription to develop into a picto-phonetic character.Because the hybridization of the graphic form,the phonetic component "you"(又) is recognized as the phonetic component "qiu"(求).The association of cognate graphs can also prove that the original meaning of the"qiu"(求) is a multi-legged insect and different from the "qiu"(裘).
