The Types and Features of the Appropriative Characters in Stone Inscriptions in Han,Wei and Six Dynasties and the Differences from the Analogize Characters

隸楷階段的漢魏六朝石刻文獻中也存在專用字。專用字最大的特點是具有專指性,相對於通用字而言,所記錄語義指稱範圍縮小。專用字是在通用字基礎上添加或改換形符而成,在結構上更具有理據性。但專用字的使用具有相對性。專用字與類化字是從不同角度出發定義的不同概念,不宜將專用字當作類化字的一部分。

There are a large number of appropriative characters in the stele inscription of Han,Wei and Six Dynasties.The most striking feature of the appropriative characters is their specifically directivity,and when comparing to the common characters,the range of their meanings are reduced.Appropriative characters are formed from changing or adding symbols of the common characters,and the structures of them are more justified.However,the use of appropriative characters is relative.Appropriative characters and analogize characters are different concepts defined from different perspectives,so they shouldn’t be treated as part of the analogize characters.
