“决拾”詞義析疑

Analysis of the Meaning of “Jueshi”(决拾)

一般釋"决拾"爲射箭時套在手指上的扳指和套在手臂上的護袖。朱駿聲早就認爲"决"的本字作"夬",但沒有引起人們的重視。當代學者根據甲骨文、楚簡等早期字形確認了朱駿聲的論點。我們認爲同樣被釋爲扳指的"韘"與"决"不同,"韘"應是扳指內的皮質護墊。由"拾",我們辨析了"韝""射韝""臂韝"的異同,認爲"拾"字釋爲"射韝"更準確,并簡要說明了"韝"和"鞲"的異體關係。

Generally speaking,"Jueshi"(决拾) is explained as fingerstall placed on the finger and the sleeve placed on the arm during archery.Zhu Junsheng had long pointed the original word of "jue"(决) was "央",but it did not attract people’s attention.Contemporary scholars have confirmed Zhu Junsheng’s arguments based on early glyphs such as Oracle and Chu slips.We think "she"(韘) and "jue"(决) which are also interpreted as fingerstall are truly different,and "she"(韘) should be the leather pad inside the fingerstall.From "shi"(拾),we distinguish and analyze the similarities and differences between "gou"(韝),"shooting gou"(射韝) and "arm gou"(臂韝),and consider that "shi"(拾)interpreted as "shooting gou"(射韝) will be more accurate,and briefly explain the variants relationship between "韝" and "鞲".
