The Textual Research of pi-lo(碧落)

"碧落"源於東晋《度人經》"碧落空歌大浮黎國土",道經故訓材料表明,"碧落"本爲"大浮黎國土"的修飾成分,其理據可解,隋唐之際,"碧落"轉指"天界,仙境",並進一步泛化指"太空"。"碧落"的語義變化及其向世俗用語的傳播滲透,不僅與《度人經》的重要影響有關,更是在類推作用下,對其構詞理據重新分析的結果。

‘Pi-lo’(碧落)originated from the‘碧落空歌大浮黎國土’of Du Ren Jing《度人經》in the Eastern Jin Dynasty.According to the ancientannotationmaterials of Daoism literatures,‘pi-lo’was one modifying element of‘大浮黎國土’.Its meaning and structurecan be understood.During the Sui and Tang Dynasties,‘pi-lo’turned to refer‘heaven,fairyland’and further generalized to‘space’.The semantic change of‘pi-lo’and its spread and penetration into the secular language are not only related to the important influence of Du Ren Jing,but also the result of the reanalysis of the motivation of its word formation under the function of analogy.
