The environmental factors of nutrients and heavy metals in the surface seawater of Rongcheng Bay National Aquatic Germplasm Reserve were continuously monitored and investigated in Aug.each year from 2015 to 2018.The methods of single factor index, comprehensive quality index, organic pollution index and eutrophication index were used to analyze the seawater quality of the reserve from different aspects.Altogether, the reserve belonged to Class II seawater quality national standard and the main pollutants were Cd and Pb during 2015 to 2018.The comprehensive quality index ranged from 0.202 to 0.615 from 2015 to 2018.It meant that the reserve was at a slight clean state. The organic pollution index varied between-0.853 and 1.133 and the eutrophication index between 0.00228 and 0.376 in the reserve from 2015 to 2018.All of the investigation stations were at a nutrient-poor state during a period from 2015 to 2018.It showed that the reserve had not been polluted by organic matter and was at a poor nutrient state. In addition, the concentrations of DIN was lower than the average of Shandong coastal waters. In particular,57%of sampling stations existed DIP limitation. It meant that the reserve had suffered nutrients supply.
