Unsymmetric diacy ferrocene derivatives,1-acety1-1’-halogen substituted benzoylferrocene(1—6)were synthesized from acetyl ferrocene and the corresponding acylchloride in the presence of AlClunder reflux or at room temperature.Beesides theexpected product,1,3-diferrocenyl but-2-en-1-one(7)as a by-product,was obtainedwhen the reaction was carried out under reflux temperature.1-Acety1-1’-palmitoylferrocene(8)and 1-benzoyl-1’-palmitoyl ferrocene(9)were synthesized from palmitoylferrocene in a similar way.The IR,~1H NMR spectra of all the compounds werediscussed.
