试论高校图书馆特藏建设的意义

On the Significance of Special Collection Construction in University Library

特藏处于高校图书馆内涵建设与外延发展的交叉点上,既是图书馆内涵的个性化标记,也是校园文化的标志性高地。现代图书馆所理解的特藏区别于传统意义上以古籍善本为主的特藏,强调从单一的经济价值取向转化为多元的精神价值取向:一方面,在图书馆内涵建设中,特藏与图书精神品相有着深刻关系,可以在图书馆精神内涵的培养和校园文化建设方面树立积极作为的榜样;另一方面,在高校学科建设上,特藏可以发挥为尖端学科、稀有学科、特色学科服务的功能,吸引校内外,乃至国内外研究力量,提升国家的文化实力。现代高校图书馆新特藏,既是传统特藏工作的传承与弘扬,又在发布形式上区别于传统特藏,能够直接服务于社会。

The special collection is at the intersection of the connotative construction and extensive development of university library,which is not only the personalized token of library connotation,but also the symbolic highland of campus culture.The special collection of the modern library is very different from that of ancient books in the traditional sense,which emphasizes the transformation from a single economic value orientation to a multiple spiritual value orientation.On the one hand,in the construction of library connotation,the special collection has a profound relationship with the book spirit,which is supposed to set a positive example in the cultivation of library spirit and the construction of campus culture.On the other hand,in terms of discipline construction in colleges and universities,special collection can play a service role for top disciplines,rare disciplines and special disciplines,and further attract more research resources inside and outside the university,even at home and abroad,and enhance the cultural strength of the country.The new special collection of modern university library is not only the inheritance and promotion of the traditional special collection work,but also different from that in terms of the publishing form,which can directly serve the society.
