为适应在全国执政的新形势,配合工作重心的逐步转移,中国共产党第一次全国宣传工作会议于1951年召开。刘少奇主持会议,并在总结报告中提出“做宣传工作的职业宣传家”的命题。这篇报告的要点即《党在宣传战线上的任务》,后收入正式出版的《刘少奇选集》下卷,是中国共产党宣传工作史上一部价值丰富的文献。重读并挖掘蕴含其中的时代精华,对今天做好党的宣传思想文化工作,具备“既要做实干家,又要做宣传家”的担当作为,仍具启迪和借鉴意义。

In order to adapt to the new situation of ruling the country and to cooperate with the gradual shift in the focus of work,the first national propaganda work conference of the Communist Party of China was held in 1951.Liu Shaoqi presided over the meeting and put forward the proposition of"A professional propagandist is needed to do propaganda work"in the summary report.The main point of this report,namely The Party's Tasks on the Propaganda Front was later printed in the second volume of the officially published Selected Works of Liu Shaoqi,which is a valuable document in the history of the propaganda work of the Communist Party of China.Rereading and excavating the essence of the times contained in it,we will still be enlightened and get reference significance for doing a good job in the Party's propaganda,ideological and cultural work today,and remember the responsibility of"being both a doer and a propagandist".
